Ram Charan, born on March 27, 1985, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a celebrated actor in the Indian film industry and the son of legendary actor Chiranjeevi. He made his acting debut in 2007 with “Chirutha,” earning critical acclaim and a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. His breakthrough role came in 2009 with “Magadheera,” one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.

Known for his versatile performances and exceptional dancing skills, Ram Charan has starred in numerous hit films, including “Racha,” “Naayak,” “Yevadu,” and “Dhruva.” He also made his Bollywood debut with “Zanjeer” and ventured into production with Konidela Production Company, producing successful films like “Khaidi No. 150.”

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) has announced that actor Ram Charan will be the Guest of Honour for its 15th edition. The festival, which runs from August 15-25, 2024, and is hosted by the Victorian State Government, will celebrate Indian cinema with the star power of the “RRR” actor.

Ram Charan’s film “RRR” not only broke box office records but also brought immense pride to India by winning the Oscar for Best Original Song, “Naatu Naatu.” This and other achievements highlight his significant impact on Indian cinema and his widespread global recognition. Born into a family of entertainment icons, Ram Charan is the son of Mega Star Chiranjeevi and has made extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema.
